Toms College of Engineering is a Kerala-based AICTE-accredited college associated with the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and authorized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Its mission is to provide leadership in technology-related policy formation and engineering. Toms College of Engineering offers students a wide range of career opportunities by offering B.Tech courses in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Polytechnic Diploma courses in Chemical Engineering, Civil and Mechanical Engineering. The TCE admissions are offered after the fulfilment of the required eligibility criteria.

TCE admissions are merit-based. Interested candidates who are a minimum of 17 years old can apply to the B.Tech course, while for diploma courses, the candidates should be of 16 years. For B.Tech lateral entry, candidates must have a polytechnic diploma. 50% of the total seats are saved under the Government quota. Each specialisation has 30 seats in the management quota and 30 in the government quota.

The TCE placement cell ensures that each student is placed within 6 months of graduation. An officer equivalent to the rank of Director-General heads the central placement cell of the college. b) Category 2: Tuition Fee will be INR 4,250/- per semester, and Special Fee will be INR 7,500/- per semester for students who scored over 80% in 12th (+2) (CBSE/ State) OR rank below 40000 in KEAM 2020.
c) Category 3: Tuition Fee will be INR 7,500/- per semester, and Special Fee will be INR 7,500/- per semester for students who scored over 70% in 12th (+2) (CBSE/ State) OR rank below 50000 in KEAM 2020.
d) Category 4: Tuition Fee will be INR 12,500/- per semester, and Special Fee will be INR 7,500/- per semester for students who received less than 70% in 12th (+2) (CBSE/ State) and rank less than 60000 in KEAM 2020.
e) Category 1: The tuition fee will be INR 17,500/- each semester, and the Special Fee will be INR 7,500/- per semester for all others.
The offered Toms College of Engineering and Polytechnic courses are diploma and B.Tech in various technical specialisations. For admission to the TCE courses, applicants must have to meet the qualification standards set by the institute. For the diploma programmes, interested candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent.
